EFV/FTC/TFV bone pain

I've been on this combination for 4 weeks and have had very achy pains in my chest (it feels like I've been kicked in the chest) in my lower back and in my right shoulder. I also get a fever that tops out around 101.5 but the pain and...

These aren't side effects generally associated with these drugs and although it's possible that they are related to an allergic or other reaction to one of the drugs, they suggest that something else is going on. You should see your doctor... Read more »

I am 45 and have been positive since 1990. I have started treatment 3 times, twice in 1998 and again last December. After 4 weeks on Viramune, Epivir and Zerit I developed a severe rash which covered my entire body below the neck with blisters...

Of the components of Truvada, the one that is most associated with hair loss (at least anecdotally) is the tenofovir. A way of testing if that is the case would be to switch from the tenofivir/FTC combination to the abacavir/3TC combination... Read more »

my strange reaction

Posted by midwestguy143, 2 Replies
I tested positive on March 24, 2009. The thing that surprised me, and my friends was my reaction -- none really. Just something else in my life. I had lost my job many months ago, and with the job market being so tough, I've gotten used to the... Read more »

antibiotic reaction

Posted by princealbert
After one week on augmentin, a pick line and beginning IV antibiotics (only one dose), I had a horrible drug reaction.
But four days later, I still walk around itchy and red, feeling like I just rolled around in poison ivy.
Has anyone else had a bad... Read more »
