Respiratory question

I have recently been diagnosed as having acquired HIV. My CD4 count is 198 and my viral load is 68,000. I was asked to get tested because I presented to my general practitoner with a flu but I had oral thrush and sore lymph nodes in my arm pits....

An evaluation of your lungs for pneumonia/PCP would be advisable. If no evidence for PCP then prophylaxis is recommended. If your CD4 count doesn't rebound quickly (which can happen after acute HIV infection) then you may be a fast progressor... Read more »

Isoprinosine and respiratory side effects?

I am told Isoprinosine is very non-toxic. I have Reactive Airways Dysfunction due smoke inhalation 3 years ago. Can you comment on its toxicity for a person with this pre-existing condition? Thank you!!...
