I am not aware of any ototoxicity induced by antiretroviral therapy; these agents can cause neuropathy so you should check to be sure that that the hearing loss is not sensorineural; there are many causes for eye problems in HIV infected... Read more »

I was reading at the medical school's bookstore the textbook they use on HIV infection. In the chapter on the window period, they said it is basically reduced to 5 weeks. They said that an Elisa test @ 6 weeks is most likely to be positive.
