2 weeks ago I recieved my hiv+ diagnosis. Today I found out that my cd4 count is at 1040 and my viral load is under 50.The nurse took some more blood today to check my viral load. I have an appointment with a Dr in 2 weeks. I have not seen a Dr yet...

The current recommendations for starting treatment are when the CD4 is < 350 and the viral load is > 30-55,000/ml. Given your numbers, you are at a point where many experts might recommend starting treatment. Of course, 2 points, and better... Read more »
