There is an increase in several types of skin inflammation with HIV disease. Yes, acne and most noteably- eosinophillic folliculitis. Treatment with an antibiotic may help. So does use of anti-inflammtory medications, (pills and creams). Also use of... Read more »

How common is it to be infected with HIV and test negative 6 months or more after being infected. Could different strains of the virus cause it not to be picked up? Also, I have only tested for HIV-1, is it necessary to test for HIV-2 ? Read more »
