What do you mean by close to normal lifespan? By that i mean when you respond you can live a normal or close to normal lifespan?...

I would say normal life span, but since it is hard to predict 30 to 50 years into the future close to normal seems a more prudent prediction. We simply don't have experience with decades long treatment of HIV infection so no one knows the... Read more »

Lifespan W/ HIV

Best case and worst case scenerio, how long can a healthy male diagnosed with HIV expect to live if he has good quality healthcare and takes care of himself. I cannot find statistic on this although I have tried....

The best case scenario is that a person could live out his normal life expectancy. I have dozens in my practice who I firmly believe will do just that. As for the worse case scenario, I think you could figure out the answer to that question.... Read more »

I have read many posts that say that if you take your medicines for hiv exactly as prescribed you will live a normal lifespan. Is this true? If it is then why are so many people in the world dying from it if it was this easy to treat?...
