I am HIV/HCV coinfected, and ready to start HIV meds again. I have not taken any protease inhibitors. Are there any particular meds or cocktails that are better or worse than others for my liver, etc? I want meds that will work to get my viral load...

The more I read the studies which have been written about liver toxicity and medications, the more I am convinced that most of the medications are equivalent. I would avoid high dose ritonavir but low dose ritonavir seems just fine. Otherwise the... Read more »

is it possible to get hiv / hep b coinfection via oral sex, say cunnilingus, if so, would the hep b infection cause an hiv test to be neg after 6-8 weeks or so. is getting hep b from oral a common thing ?

I've read where HIV and Hep C co-infection can cause a person to take longer to test positive. Does anyone know how true this is? I've tested negative at 3 months but I'm worried that if I'm infected with Hep C then HIV might not have shown up... Read more »

i know this might sound like a stupid question but is it possible to pick up both HIV and HEP-C from one unprotected, penis/vaginal sexual encounter ? and if so, can this cause problems with an HIV test at 3 months ? co-infection ?
