I am sorry but I am not aware of any studies on kidney transplants for HIV-infected patients. I suspect that some of the larger transplant centers may have had some experience with this issue, but I have not seen any information. I hope you can find... Read more »

Kidney failure and HIV

My kidneys are not functioning and I have HIV which was discoveredin NoVEMBER OF 2005, currently i'm on meds for the Hiv and it seems to be doing well , do I have a chance od living a long healthy life...

Possibly. You don't indicate what your CD4 count is or whether and what HIV treatment you may be receiving. Certain tumors and infections could be more likely to occur in someone with AIDS because of a poor immune system. But many things can... Read more »
