Well I just did a home Access test and sent it off. This is 80 days(11 weeks + a few days) after my possible exposure(unprotected Vaginal).

I just tested today. 2 days shy of 6 weeks. I'm so nervous and scared. I can't wait for the results. I just want to get this over with. I know the recomendation is 13 weeks but I hope I can get some peice of mind with this test. How accurate do you... Read more »

Waiting period for test results

I recently had an HIV test done at my Doctor's office, and recieved the results the next evening. The test was done on a Tuesday and he said the results would be back by Thursday at the latest, in many of your responses you said it would take...

Everyone should be so lucky to have such an efficient doctor! The time it takes for one to receive an HIV test result is not a reliable way to determine the type of screening process used. Different laboratories will take different amounts of time... Read more »

My Dearest Dr. Bob,I apologize for the title, I realize that having to live with the virus on a daily basis is FAR FAR MORE CHALLENGING that simply having to sit 3 months to test to test out. And I commend you and compliment you in your fight...

I tested but did I need to wait?

Hello, I tested 39 days post possible exposure. I was negative. My "exposure" was that I received unprotected oral sex and I engaged in french kissing, not knowing until later that I had a cut on my gum. Not sure if this was even a risk....
