I would discuss this further with your physician who will know how much liver disease was on your biopsy in the first place. Over time your liver will become healthier since you have eradicated the virus....

hepc geno type1I have taken the year long treatment with interferon with a reduction in viral load but when I stopped after a year it came back. I found out that i had this co-infection(hiv,hep-c) in 2002.My doctor says that it is very hard to treat,however with sticking to my meds;this includes hiv meds, and interferon,i now have the hep-c under control after 30 weeks of a 48 week...

HI, my son's father is HIV+ and has HEPc also.. his viral count is undecectable and t-cell count has always been around 400+..he started interferon for the hepc about 4 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago he had blood drawn and his T cell count was under 300.....
