I had a high risk encounter 10-03, and tested negative with the EIA/ELISA tests several times out to 6 months. Now I am having seborrheic dermatitis and its making me doubt my tests. What do you all think? (oh and I have not had any more exposure) Read more »

Those fungal infections and seborrheic dermatitis are seen in the general population. Folliculitis seems more common in HIV infected persons. In my experience none of those conditions are very helpful in identifying recent HIV infection though... Read more »

I am almost sure that I have HIV (weight loss, severe seborrheic dermotitis, long lastinf RAS, diarrhea, hyper reaction to moskito bites), but I tested negative by SUDS several years after potential exposure. I was also tested negative about 4 years...

Hi,Although I do not know from where you are writing, HIV-2 is common only in certain locations around the world. Also, most "standard" tests now screen for both HIV-1 and HIV-2. You might want to check back and see if your previous tests... Read more »
