I have had HBV for 40 years, transfusion of tainted blood at birth. I have a viral load count of 547 and it was 345 three months ago, any concern here? I am thinking about starting a family with my wife, and I am now 40, how can I keep this HBV in...

That is not really a significant difference between those two viral load values. You don't indicate whether you have been offered or had any HBV specific treatment. You may want to discuss your situation with a liver specialist.... Read more »

I personally would be concerned about this. In HIV, for example, we know that patients can be "superinfected" with another strain of virus. I would be concerned that the same thing could happen in this situation that you describe.... Read more »
