That is correct-- on average, it takes 5-10 years for symptoms to appear. It also takes about 5-10 years for someone's CD4 cells to drop below 350, which is about the point where many people begin to develop thrush. I guess I don't... Read more »

Thrush usually appears once T helper cell counts are less than 350, and this usually preceded the onset of AIDS by a few years. Thrush is indeed a sign that HIV disease is progressing.... Read more »

I was infected with HIV about 6 months ago.

Tested Oz.

I think I am experiencing Thrush, is it possible for it to occur so soon after infection?
