I work at a public health dept in Texas. They use a Elisa 1 test. The HIV counselor tells all clients that the test will show positive in 4-8 weeks. He also states a warning to all of those who get tested with private doctors and hospitals... Read more »

I had a possible exposure (unprotected sex with csw) in Thailand in nov 2011.

I tested negative with 3rd gen ELISA at 4,8,10, 13 and 16 weeks.

Also did a ELICA at 8.5 months which was negative.
