G'day West Australian Model-Guy,You've got things a bit backwards. You don't pick the regimen and then run a resistance test. Rather, you run a genotype resistance test first. This will let you know what drugs your virus is... Read more »

You are right to say that some people who are severely immunosuppressed (as you may be) can have a false negative HIV antibody test. In that setting, the best test to determine infection becomes a PCR test, or some other antigen detection assay.... Read more »
