You don't indicate what your baseline (before treatment) viral load was. I am assuming that the 118 is your viral load now after a couple of months of treatment. If you are within 3-4 months of starting therapy, I would do nothing now. An... Read more »

Undetectable levels

I returned a HIV+ test when applying for an overseas residence visa. Turned out my CD count was down to 250 and viral load 37k. After 4 months on antivirals I was tested for reaction to drugs and my CD count is up to +500 and viral load undectable....

when some people with HIV who are taking medicines say they are undetectable, do they mean that when they are tested, the results come back negative?
if so, does that happen with all the tests available out there or just with some of them?
