Valtrex (val-acyclovir) should not have an effect on acute HIV symptoms. If you are worried, I would get HIV testing. If exposure was recent an HIV viral load or combo antibody/p24 would be appropriate. DW... Read more »

Those symptoms are quite non-specific. I would not characterize them as typical treatment side effects since most patients who are on current regimens in the US for example do not experience side effects such as you list. Certainly stress and many... Read more »
