It is not automatic. In fact the risk of spreading HBV through sex is higher than spreading HIV through sex, although transmission of both is possible. A lot also depends on the viral load. The higher the virus level the more risk of transmission.... Read more »

I tested ELISA positive after 12 days from exposure; but Western for HIV1 (only) negative. They are going to do another test for HIV2. How prevalent is HIV 2 in the USA. I am low risk, partner also. Very scared....

8 Years Back Incident

Hi i had unprotected sex once with a sex worker 8 years back and it lasted for 2 to 3 mins. That is the only incident in my life until i got married in 2003.

My worry is am i at risk of contracting HIV with the said incident? So far i am very healthy... Read more »
