Is there any way to get a test for HIV itself, rather than just the virus? I know it costs alot more but would there be any doctor's willing to perform this test, rather than wait the agonizing three months for a regular HIV antibody test result. Read more »

Would it be safe to say that if a person did not produce antibodies by 3 years after exposure, they would not be able to fight off common infections. Isn't the antibodies what makes the symptoms of ARS resolve?
