I had a PCRDNA test and the result I got was "less than 400 copies / mL", I enquired and the lab said they had found no hiv but that the accuracy was limited to less than 400 copies, so if I had 50 they wouldn't be able to detect it. I... Read more »

Has anyone seen any statistic as to the number of cases where an HIV infection would not show on a standard ELISA or PCR because it is either a rare strand or whatever? Thanks guys.
