Helicobacter pylori infection is a common cause of stomach ulcers in both HIV- and HIV+ people. It is not an opportunistic infection nor is it associated with HIV or other causes of immune deficiency....

CD4 decrease with a bacteriae infection.Dear Dr.I had a bacteriae infection when I made my lab tests (due to sexual contact). Yes another infection could have caused this. You just need to have the numbers repeated at your next visit....

One thing that bugs me are the germs/bacteria that resides on environmental surfaces e.g. toilet sinks, taps, doorknobs etc. I know that the HIV virus does not live well on such surfaces and there has never been a documented case of any person who's...
