You did not mention what your lowest CD4 level was, which might be helpful to know. You probably have immune dysfunction. This is not just exhibited by a loss of immune function, but in some situations, a deranged or even hyped up immune function.... Read more »

Low platelet counts can be the result of HIV infection, although from your history this does not seem to be the case. Penicillins and other drugs can decrease any or all of your blood cell counts, which is usually reversible after stopping the drug.... Read more »
