Keeping immune system healthy while off meds

My partner has been taken off his meds (zerit, efavirenz, videx) after developing lactic acidosis. His doctor says it may take as much as three or four months for lactate levels etc to get back to normal and that no new HAART regimen should be...

Would a person who was healthy, with a strong immune system produce HIV antibodies sooner than someone who was unhealthy, with a weakened immune system? I know it's different for everyone. But generally speaking.
