Herpes Simplex (Cold Sores and Genital Herpes)

What Is Herpes? Herpes simplex refers to a group of viruses that infect humans. Like herpes zoster (shingles, see Fact Sheet 509 ), herpes simplex causes painful skin eruptions. Itching and tingling are usually the first signs, followed by a blister that breaks open. The infection stays dormant in nerve cells. This is called "latency." However, it can become active again with no warning. Herpes can be active without symptoms or visible signs....

I am not certain if I understand your question. If you are asking whether hepatitis viruses cause anal herpes, the answer is no. Anal herpes usually is caused by herpes simplex type one or type two. Cytomegalovirus usually causes colitis... Read more »

por favor, ya no se que pensar. si alguien como yo a los 6 meses tiene una serologia negativa de vih y posituva de hepatitis c pero con arn hepatitis indetectable, no es segura la prueba del vih por uan posible coinfeccion? se alarga el periodo... Read more »

En el caso de que el virus de la hepatitis C haya sido adquirido en el mismo riesgo en el cual se adquiere vih, las pruebas de vih y hepatitis C podrian ser negativas hasta los 12 meses.
