I read where interferon is not as strong as a treatment with this genotype. I was recently diagnosed and have had for roughly three years.I am a little worried as I read more and more online that this genotype is the most difficult to treat....

Two comments:1. Statements that genotype 1 is harder to treat are correct but that is for the population at large. It says nothing for an individual patient. You may or may not respond. The only way to know is to follow your HCV viral load. 2. More... Read more »

The percent of cure is about 55-60 percent. However, that figure is for the population of hepatitis C infected patients as a whole.It is important to realize that if you take every dose of your medications, your chance of cure clearly improves... Read more »

por favor, ya no se que pensar. si alguien como yo a los 6 meses tiene una serologia negativa de vih y posituva de hepatitis c pero con arn hepatitis indetectable, no es segura la prueba del vih por uan posible coinfeccion? se alarga el periodo... Read more »

En el caso de que el virus de la hepatitis C haya sido adquirido en el mismo riesgo en el cual se adquiere vih, las pruebas de vih y hepatitis C podrian ser negativas hasta los 12 meses.
