Viral load testing in relation to Hepatitis C

My husband had the viral load testing as well as the regular HIV. HIV was negative, but the viral load was in the "thousands" the Dr. said. He has chronic/active hepatitis C for 14 yrs.Thanks

Hepatitis C

I was told i had traces of Hepatitis C from a blood test about 10 years ago. I recently had another blood test done, and i was told my Hep c count was 714,000...is that bad? And is there anything i can do to lower it?

That result indicates you have chronic HCV infection with a relatively low viral load. You need to be evaluated by a gastroenterologist to determine if you have evidence of any liver damage. Read more »
