por favor, ya no se que pensar. si alguien como yo a los 6 meses tiene una serologia negativa de vih y posituva de hepatitis c pero con arn hepatitis indetectable, no es segura la prueba del vih por uan posible coinfeccion? se alarga el periodo... Read more »

En el caso de que el virus de la hepatitis C haya sido adquirido en el mismo riesgo en el cual se adquiere vih, las pruebas de vih y hepatitis C podrian ser negativas hasta los 12 meses.

I would not expect your hives to be related to your hepatitis B infection. HBV can be associated with skin rashes during acute infection, but I suspect you are right that you got your HBV from your mother since you do not have risk factors. During... Read more »

rash/hives

my boyfriend started to have rash or what it seems to be hive on his arms, legs, and chest. he has been taking atripla for almost a yeard should we be worrie about it. this started 1/11/2009....

Rash would unlikely be related to the Atripla after one year of treatment so most likely another explanation. I would recommend that he see his HIV specialist to evaluate the rash to try and find the cause and make a treatment recommendation. If... Read more »
