Hello, Akcol.Your HIV-acquisition risk is low but not nonexistent. That your husband's HIV plasma viral load is undetectable significantly decreases the likelihood of viral transmission. However, I would still recommend PEP in this situation....

i know this might sound like a stupid question but is it possible to pick up both HIV and HEP-C from one unprotected, penis/vaginal sexual encounter ? and if so, can this cause problems with an HIV test at 3 months ? co-infection ?thanks regards peter Read more » No longer have HepC!

I found out that i had this co-infection(hiv,hep-c) in 2002.My doctor says that it is very hard to treat,however with sticking to my meds;this includes hiv meds, and interferon,i now have the hep-c under control after 30 weeks of a 48 week...
