It may be the fact that cultures from sputum or lung material grew MRSA and revealed PCP, but no TB grew in the cultures. Sounds like he had a positive TB skin test which makes him exposed (infected), but without active disease.... Read more »

is a hallmark of AIDS disease in the US and Western Europe. How is it possible that this widespread signature of AIDS in the West isn't seen much in Africa? The PCP fungus is as widespread there as it is in the developed world.Please comment....
