Let me clarify that I never said that the white blood cell count or sed rate go up in acute HIV, just that the lymphocyte count goes down. This can be near the lower limit of normal or can be frankly abnormal.... Read more »

In July I had unprotected oral sex. I had a blood test 7 weeks after hiv neg.
My Lymphocyte count was 15 norm 18-47. In 1998 my Lymphocyte count was 26.

With a neg test after 7 weeks am I at low risk to have a pos. test @ 6months.

Is it possible for a person experencing ARS to have huge amount of lymphocytes? I have read here at the body that all persons having ARS would have a low lymphocyte count during ars, then it would recover, then slowly decline again.
