HI, my son's father is HIV+ and has HEPc also.. his viral count is undecectable and t-cell count has always been around 400+..he started interferon for the hepc about 4 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago he had blood drawn and his T cell count was under 300.....

Why doesn't pegylated Interferon work the same way with Hiv as it does with HVB/C?. Isn't Interferon very important in fighting RNA virus infections which Hiv is one of? How does Hiv get around its defence?
