SIDE EFFECT OR PCP SYMTOMS ???

My husband realised that he had diagnosed with HIV+ only last month, due to that he is having fever at around 37.2 degree celcious for around 2 months, so he was admitted to the hospital for oppurtunistic infections checking, but seems no infections...

Does this happen? Anyone been diagnosed with aids and then start meds, perhaps clean up lifestyle and then start feeling better? Gaining weight, feeling 'normal' and going on to live life for years more.
