Hello,Your exposure was over 10 years ago. You've had 3 negative antibody tests (EIA's) and 1 negative DNA-PCR (this test does not involve antibody production). You just can't get anymore negative than that. Regarding your specific... Read more »

In rare cases where patients do not produce antibodies to HIV infection, do you find that they tend to have higher viral loads? (before treatment with HAART). In other words, if someone was negative on the ELISA test after the 6 month window period...

The situation you describe is extraordinarily rare. I have only seen one person with HIV infection that did not develop antibodies to HIV. This person had a very high viral load and full-blown AIDS. I can speculate that these individuals may come... Read more »
