It is possible to be misdiagnosed. Other causes of vaginitis can cause a discharge and irritation (redness of the tissues), but typical yeast infections are pretty easy to identify. I suggest you either ask this doctor to look at the discharge... Read more »

Cesarian section is not generally recommended for HIV positive women with viral loads < 1000 copies/ml on therapy because of the very low risk of transmission (<1%) in this setting.... Read more »

Those two viral load results are essentially the same number and are within the range of assay variation. although that could be a significant drop in CD4 count, I suspect not, and also that your CD4 percent is about the same with both of those CD4... Read more »
