Kaposi's Sarcoma (KS)

These treatments only deal with the skin lesions, not with KS overall. Skin lesions may come back after treatment. If KS has spread into internal organs, systemic (whole-body) drug treatment is used. If ART is not enough, the drugs doxorubicin (Doxil) daunorubicin (DaunoXome) or paclitaxel (Taxol) may be added. Doxil and DaunoXome are anti-cancer drugs in "liposomal" form. "Liposomal" means that tiny amounts of drug are encased in small fat...

Dear Dr. Dezube, could Kaposi's Sarcoma tumors be treated by leeches, the blood sucking creatures? I had chemotherapy (Doxil) about 2 years ago and now the tumors are starting to come back and I really don't want to go on to another one...

i have read that kaposi sarcoma can present itself at any stage of HIV infection, this is IF i was infected which everyone i'v spoken to is convinced i havent.
