Tonsils are lymphoid tissue, so they can be enlarged as part of HIV disease just like any other lymph node can. Lymphoid tissue swelling comes and goes throughout the course of HIV disease, so I can't say whether tonsils would be persistently...

My tonsils are swollen, with a lump on the left one. The right one has a couple of white spots. Is this a sign of HIv. It's been a month, since a unprotected vaginal encounter (Broken Condom). I'm losing my mind............. Cheers from the U.K
