Lower Extremities Weakness

I have had everything checked out: MRI, EMG, CT, Muscle Enzymes normal, Nerves are ok. Recovering from a case shingles on Right side Neck, arm and chest. My regimen is Fortovase 1600mg and Norvir 200mg once daily, Epivir 150mg and Zerit 40mg BID....

It seems unlikely that your lower extremity pain is due to either your HIV drugs (though it can happen rarely with the 3TC component of Epzicom) or HIV. I assume you have had an evaluation by a neurologist including possible EMG or nerve conduction... Read more »

The symtoms that you describe are indeed sugestive of a disease of the peripheral nerves,specially the lower extremities.This can be caused by direct toxicity to the nerves ,by many drugs,including some HIV drugs,and also by Interferon treatment for... Read more »
