With negative antibody after more than six months with no further exposures, and if I took a hiv dna pcr test and it came back with hiv virus what would be the next step? Could then the antibody results be incorrect? Or is the pcr false positive? ...

Face it...there are false negatives I know of a number of people who have had repeated hiv Elisa tests come back negative over a period of years only to subsequently come down with an opportunistic infection like PCP and then test positive. It... Read more »
