It would be unlikely that the approved HIV meds would cause this. I cannot speak for the investigational agent. But in general, HIV meds do not cause increases in blood pressure.... Read more »

Good question. Hypertension due to any of the components of Atripla has been rarely reported. Many patients gain weight when starting an effective HIV drug combination. Weight gain can aggravate hypertension. I cannot state with any confidence... Read more »
