i know this might sound like a stupid question but is it possible to pick up both HIV and HEP-C from one unprotected, penis/vaginal sexual encounter ? and if so, can this cause problems with an HIV test at 3 months ? co-infection ?

Not sure what your question is. HCV can certainly infect a transplanted liver. Your elevated liver enzymes may be due to that, to rejection, or to your transplant drug levels being too high. It sounds like your doctors are adjusting your transplant... Read more »

Your doctor is doing the right thing. All patients with HCV should be immunized against hepatitis A and B so you don't get any other infections.... Read more »
