I was tested positive for hepatitis C.There are no abnormalities of blood works and no other current noticeable effects.Should the use of birth control pills be prevented due to any affect on the liver or can they be used safely?Thanks....

You do not need to stop birth control pills as you commence this antiretroviral regimen. There is a modest interaction with Sustiva that leads to an increase in the blood levels of estrogen in birth control pills and in the prescribing information... Read more »
