i was in the hospital with acute hepatitis b infection. at that time i was tested for HIV with and elisa and viral load (PCR?) This was 3 months after exposure. is there a chance the acute HBV will turn up a false negative? or can i be satisfied...

If you have acute hepatitis C ,and at the same time a negative test for HIV,then you do not have detectable antibodies for HIV.You will need to repeat the HIV test in 6 months to be sure you are negative,as it take that long to be detectable in... Read more »
