As far as PEP goes, any HAART combination is acceptable. The issue with nevirapine is that people with a normal CD4 cell count (such as yourself) are at increased risk of hepatic toxicity so it is better to use an alternative treatment, such as... Read more »

You don't mention whether or not you are giving nevirapine to the mother. If you give nevirapine to the mother at delivery, the baby should have good levels of nevirapine through at least 48 hours; you could then give another dose to the baby... Read more »
