Your dosing sounds reasonable though depends on actual mg in pills you are using. Tenofovir rarely would cause heart/twitching side effects (usually very well tolerated drug). Any benefit regarding regaining lost fat would occur very slowly. KH Read more »

Hello Dave,I would agree that going back to twice-a-day dosing might be problematic for you, because your evenings are "so haphazard." Consequently this is not a good option. I would also be reluctant to increase your morning Viramune dose to 600.... Read more »

Lowering Dosage

I am on a regime of 1 truvada and four kaletra a day. The kaletra is causing horrific diarrhea. Would it be harmful to lower the kaletra to 2 pills once and then still take the truvada?

...recommended (too low a dose). Switching the Kaletra to another boosted PI (such as atazanavir or darunavir), a NNRTI (such as nevirapine or efavirenz), or raltegravir may be worth considering depending on past treatment history/resistance status... Read more »
