The HIV test is of some reassurance but I would repeast again in several months to be sure. Strep infection can cause many of the symptoms you are describing and would seem a more likely source than HIV infection. I would still check your HIV... Read more »

Most likely if you have strep throat, that's all you have. It isn't impossible to have strep throat and ARS simultaneously. The sore throat of ARS is due to HIV and throat swabs would be negative if that were the only thing going on.... Read more »
