What do HCV antibody test results mean with HIV negative @ 9 months

Had an antibody HCV test done at 7 months, it came back with a <0.1 0.0 - 0.8 s/c. After this I had one night upper abdominal pain, does this mean I have to go back and do another test such as the HCV RNA PCR. I'm at 11 months of exposure....

You certainly may have pain in the right side, but this is not from hepatitis C. I don't think you need any further testing since you have a negative HCV antibody test. You are negative for HIV.As your doctor suggested, no further testing is... Read more »

I am so confused why Dr. Bob say 6 months if you are exposed to known + HIV person. Also, many here seems to support 6 months, while some do support 3 months. This is really ridiculous! Can someone tell the truth? Go get Dr. Bob to answer this.... Read more »
