Kaletra could alter the levels of estrogen which may impact your menstrual/hormonal cycles +/- the effect from the birth control pill. Your HIV doc would be the best person to assess what your HIV treatment options are based on your past treatment... Read more »

While your mood changes may be associated with the HAART change indirectly, this symptom is probably more directly associated with the apparent change in hormones you have experienced if your periods "became irregular". I don't know... Read more »

These particular antiretrovirals (Kaletra, Epivir, & Viread) are not known for causing mood problems. This is in contrast to some other drugs, like Sustiva, which are commonly associated with side effects, such as depression, nightmares,... Read more »

When a woman becomes infected, can it affect her period? I have missed my period for the last 3 months after possible exposure. I did a EPT test, and it came back negative.
