Enfuvirtide (Fuzeon)

What Is Enfuvirtide? Enfuvirtide, also called FuzeonĀ® or T-20, is a drug used for antiviral therapy. It is manufactured by Roche and Trimeris. Enfuvirtide is the first "fusion inhibitor" drug. i would like to know if a side-effect to using fuzeon can make the skin become more oily and the sperm more gluey and sticky or it can happen also from high level of triglycerides...

I'm not aware of the side effect with the sperm. As for the skin, reactions ar quite common, but are usually at the site of the injection and quite self-limited. On occasion, there can be a more generalized rash, but I have not heard of it... Read more »

side effects of fuzeon

I would like to know the side effects of fuzeon apart from local skin reactions. Lipodistrophy? Neuropathy? Liver? Any GI effects? Any others that I should be aware of? Can it be paired with viread and emtriva or with truvada? Thank you....

The systemic side effects of Fuzeon have been very limited(which would be expected since it stays outside of the cell). Local reactions are comment and annoying but tolerated in most patients. Fuzeon can be used with the drugs you mentioned though... Read more »

It's a total pisser when you run out of spaces for injections. Have lipoatropahy, no body fat, ISR's are horrible but Dr's say last option as it's salvage therapy. Doing the Tibotec Duet TMC 125 NNRTI with/possible TMC 114 NRTI (placebo trial) thing... Read more »
