I haven't encountered that problem in patients I have switched from Emtriva/Viread to Truvada. If those symptoms persist then I would consider opting to go back to the Emtriva/Viread within several weeks... Read more »

Zerit + Kaletra vs. Emtriva + Kaletra

+ Covaricil I started showing lipoatrophy on my face. I asked the doc to change my regimen, but he only replaced Zerit with Emtriva. Is that good enough to limit the development of lipoatrophy or should I also replace Kaletra? What would you suggest...

(nor have I observed it in my own practice)that switching off Kaletra would help. Stopping the Zerit could though a switch to Emtriva for that specific purpose has not been studied much (more data on abacavir for example). KH... Read more »

I'm puzzled, Coviracil and Emtriva are the same medication, i.e., emtricitabine. If your doctor has you on the regimen you indicate, then you need to call him right... Read more »

I started a once a day regimen Emtriva/Viread and Viramune. I am doing ok buyt get a feeling of numbness in one of my legs like when your hands or feet fall asleep.

Is anyone else on this regimen?
