Your description of the head spinning sounds like an efavirenz (Sustiva) side effect. Delaying the efavirenz dose until you are safely home and ready for bed is a very reasonable way to manage the situation-I would inform your HIV provider... Read more »

Yes, they can be taken together but a recent study showed that the dose of the statin may need to be raised to get the expected effect as efavirenz (Sustiva) reduces levels of pravastatin, atorvastatin and simvistatin by abpout 40%. Starting with... Read more »
